“Let us walk into the conference room as equals and not second class citizens.”

BEFORE | CONFERENCE ROOM
In a creative work place, ideas are flying and people converge any and everywhere to release these thoughts. The kitchen is a hot spot, and the communal living room always has groups scattered about the eclectic furniture bouncing thoughts back and forth. We had a blast creating a space that invited conversation and was way more comfortable than any office we’ve ever seen! When it came to designing the conference room, this production company needed a space for meetings and presentations that was quiet and orderly. With a huge room available, we couldn’t wait to furnish and cozy it up.
First on the agenda was a conference table. Because it would anchor the room and be a focal point from any direction, it needed to be perfect. After searching high and low, we opted to custom make one 11 feet long. 50 shades of grey created a stunning stain on the wood creating depth and texture. A metal base gives an architectural element strong enough to withstand it’s grand size. Bucket seats in the style of the mid century design duo Eames, are a great choice for comfort and aesthetic.
Even the most serious of places can use a little kitsch! Our best selling bar tray is a fun way to serve water. Check out that beautiful wood grain and finish on the table.
To break up the white walls and ceiling, we chose a rich hue to add some depth to the room on the back center wall. A custom bound rug warms up the polished concrete floors and softens the entire space.
With affordable couches from Ikea, we were able to place four of them for additional seating. A vintage marble top table tucks between them with a pedestal of fresh fruit ripe for picking.
A wall mount tv for screening current projects is a must.
After finding a pair of vintage root coffee tables on one of our hunts, we knew their new home belonged at this office. A vintage indigo textile from one of our favorite suppliers created pillows for each of the couches. Brass floor lamps from none other than Target were just what we were looking for and a fraction of the cost of their designer counterparts. When it’s right, it’s right!
Two staggered glass orb chandeliers illuminate the room with a warm glow.
The final touch were these custom built in cabinets with plenty of storage for supplies and tech equipment when not in use. My favorite storage jars are filled with healthy snacks labeled with reusable chalkboard stickers. Organized and clean, spacious and airy, this conference room can’t wait for the dream team to put it to use. Stay tuned for the next chapter of this perfect production!
