SUPER GREEN HEALING TEA

Super Green Tea

04 Apr SUPER GREEN HEALING TEA

“As far as Mom was concerned, tea fixed everything.  Have a cold?  Have some tea.  Broken bones?  There’s a tea for that too.  Somewhere in her mother’s pantry, Laurel suspected, was a box of tea that said, ‘In case of Armageddon, steep three to five minutes’.”  – Aprilynne Pike, Illusions

Green Cold Brew Tea, Flor Essence, Chlorophyll, Herbal Tea Anthology

Tea, an age old beverage that has been in different cultures throughout the world for centuries has finally become a mainstay in my daily life.   I used to love nothing more than a diet coke at lunch or some old school ice tea from the restaurant around the corner from my store.   Those days are gone, as I have moved onto something that will benefit my body instead of dehydrating it with a slew of processed chemicals and junk.   When I was diagnosed with cancer last year,  an old friend and skin care extraordinaire – Diane Rudolph, gave me a cold brew tea infuser.  She had got me onto a skin care regime through Rodan and Fields (click here for link to her products) and suggested I  try making green tea each day.   How could I refuse, especially when she gifted me with the tool to make it!?  Now I am hooked, and I have tailored it to what works best for me.  I highly recommend this for anyone looking to clean and gently detox their body, and help with digestion each day.

Using the cold brew infuser from Teavana, here are the steps to make my daily tea that makes enough to last three days.

1 tea bag of milk thistle
1 tea bag of herbal tea (I love the anthology from Trader Joe’s shown above)
2 bags of green tea
Place the tea bags in the infuser, fill to the top with water and let it sit overnight in the fridge.  In the morning, my tea is ready to go for the next three days.  The tea will brew quite strong so you definitely want to do 1 cup of tea and fill the rest of a large container with water.

To enhance the good properties of my daily tea, I have some special additions that further the anti oxidant treasures found in nature that continue to cleanse my body.   I highly recommend these to all of you looking to detox and purify.

Pour one cup of cold brewed tea into thermos.
Add two squirts of Nature’s Sunshine chlorophyll (a blood cleanser that strengthens the immune system and intestinal track)
2 ounces of Flor Essence (an anti cancer remedy that assists with whole body detox, digestion and immune support)
1 packet of Neatmix Green (dehydrated wheat grass)
Fill rest of thermos to the top with ice and water.
Enjoy throughout the day!

Double Walled BPA Free Thermos for my cold brew green tea

This thermos has become my favorite beverage container ever!  Not only is it stainless steel and BPA free, it’s vacuum sealed top and double walled container keep your drink, hot or cold, for hours.   I am not exaggerating that when I reach for my tea hours later, it is still ice cold.  I can throw it in one of my bags, and have my tea anywhere, anytime, and know that it will be just as refreshing as the first sip in the morning.   Available in a bunch of colors, virtually indestructible, and can be at your doorstep in no time, this trusty thermos is one of the best investments I’ve made in regards to my health.   Give my special tea a try.  Experiment with what works for you.   Your body will thank you for it!

XO,
D.L.
