“Just living is not enough…one must have sunshine, freedom and a little flower.” – Hans Christian Anderson

Hydrangeas have always been one of my favorite flowers. The tight clusters of buds spill over the vase and don't require much else, however, I do love to pull out the green undertones. | @D.L. Rhein

Before starting my business, I worked as a floral designer and always revel at the chance to go to the LA Flower Market for clients.   Fresh flowers and orchids are a mainstay in my house.  Every time I look at them they make me happy and I love bringing the great outdoors inside.   One of our long time customers and design clients was having a New Years Party and called us to help juje up her house in a jiffy.  We did this for her last year for her husband’s birthday and to prep for the holidays with a last minute house call.  A former event planner, she had loads of empty vessels ready for filling!  And so, I went downtown at 5 am and loaded up my truck with oodles of fresh botanicals to play with for the festivities.

Hydrangeas have always been one of my favorite flowers.   The tight clusters of buds spill over the vase and don’t require much else, however,  I do love to pull out the green undertones.   Mums were the perfect compliment for these blue and white poofs.

The formal living room was feeling pretty empty and they were in need of table and additional seating.  A vintage brass rimmed scallop glass coffee table is a showstopper next to this stingray and leather carved chair on top of a navy hide rug.  So glad that we have these all on hand at the studio!

Who doesn't love candy?! By choosing a color, this kiddie favorite is elevated to a higher level of chic | @D.L. Rhein

Who doesn’t love candy?!  By choosing a color, this kiddie favorite is elevated to a higher level of chic. It serves as a favor bar for everyone to take some treats to go after a late night of festivities.  It’s all in the details, and sometimes the details can significantly change the look of your home, for one night.  But why stop there?  Treat yourself to fresh flowers each week, even if it’s one vase when you walk in the front door.  You’re worth it!

XO,
D.L.
