05 Mar Bags and Baubles

When accessorizing, always take off the last thing you put on.” – Coco Chanel

Accessories, the details of the painting  known as: The Outfit.  The most versatile pieces within the fashion world as they can take a t shirt and jeans to a whole new level or make that H&M cocktail dress look like it cost a fortune.   They are interchangeable and can transform garments you want to breathe new life into.

The term fashion accessories came to use in the 19th century, but I have a sneaking suspicion that the Parisians were using them for centuries.  Lucky for us, we got to go Cochon Wild on our spring buying trip to Paris. Coco knew what she was talking about, and less is more, does not have to equate to boring.

With some suggestions from the hip  boutique owner at Petite Braderie, and some scouting of our own, we hit  the jackpot of French accessories.  Here are some of our favorite new arrivals.

Shown above: Azure Python Clutch, Over sized Turquoise Silk Wrap, Semiprecious Stone and Bead Cuff.

Take a walk on the Wild Side.  Faux Croc Clutch in Carmel, Leopard Silk Wrap, Citrine Crystal Cocktail Ring.

Orange you dying to wear these?  Spectrum Medallion Earrings, Orange Leather Coin Purse, Geometric Silk Scarf with Tassels
