HANCOCK PARK - POWDER ROOM BEFORE

POWDER ROOM | BEFORE

It’s human nature that once you start beautifying an area in your home, some of its surroundings then stand out like a sore thumb.  Such was the case when we dug into the kitchen of this lovely Hancock Park home, built in 1925. After a complete remodel of their weekend cottage, our clients wanted to update their Eastside abode, including several of the bathrooms.  Bye Bye French Provençal, hello Modern Glamour…

HANCOCK PARK | POWDER ROOM RENDERING | DESIGN BY D.L. RHEIN

 POWDER ROOM RENDERING

Being able to offer our clients a hand painted rendering to convey the overall vision for a room is a game changer.  Once we have narrowed down the materials, finishes and desired vibe of the space, we can show an approximate depiction of what the room will ultimately look like.  (Thanks to our very talented team member Ivana for another fab rendering!)

What a difference!  Yellow walls were replaced with a natural grass cloth wall covering from Phillip Jeffries.  A custom vanity with brass hardware and legs elongates the tiny space with its tall lacquered doors.  This brass faucet from Waterworks is one of our luxe faves.  The exact mirror from the rendering is an antique from a beloved French vendor who always comes through with the perfect one of a kind piece for specific projects over the years.  I love how the black marble hexagon tiles have a subtle impact that ground the room.  A vintage lucite chandelier from our shop finished off the room with a touch of old Hollywood glam.  Stay tuned for more transformations of this Hancock Park Manor.

XO,
D.L.
