About D.L. RHEIN
Artist/designer Deborah Rhein has been a fixture on the Los Angeles design scene since 1991. Starting from home, making unique, high style picture frames, she has since developed a full-scale design business featuring home and fashion accessories which includes a highly lauded line of belts and handbags, embroidered pillows, hand towels and a variety of other unique home and gift items.
In 2003, Deborah entered into a licensing agreement with Silvestri to design a line of fashion accessories, home accessories and specialty Christmas items. This partnership has allowed her to explore new design opportunities and expand her customer base. In 2005, Deborah was approached by Peking Handicraft, Inc. and international and wholesaler of home textiles, decorative accessories and giftware, to design a line of rugs, table linens, and children’s decorative accessories. Deborah is also working with Unique Designs, a needlepoint kit manufacturer. Her inspired designs have added beauty and spark to the patterns and have been instrumental in helping them launch their make-your-own belt line.
All three licensing partnerships have been extremely successful and have garnered accolades from customers, retailers and press alike. Deborah, her products, and even her home, have been featured in numerous trade publications and fashion magazines.
Deborah’s newest venture is the launch of DL Rhein, a retail store in located West Los Angeles. The store, with an onsite design and production studio, allows her to offer the best of her original designs to the public. The store also features specialty products selected by Deborah that reflect her much emulated sense of style and taste. With this, she has launched a new line of body and spa products that are available only at DL Rhein.
Over the past 14 years Deborah has become a local and national taste-maker, earning a reputation for sophisticated yet whimsical designs that span her product lines. She is known for producing unexpected combinations drawing inspiration and ideas from timeless classics and the latest trends.
In addition to running her busy design business, Deborah is the mother of three young children and is active in their school and extracurricular activities.
